Articles of Faith

Article 1:  We believe in only one true and living God, revealing Himself as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Article 2:  We believe the Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to men.  It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction for faith and practice.

Article 3:  We believe that God elects through grace and purpose to save sinners.

Article 4: We believe that man by his free choice has sinned against God and is incapable of removing himself from sin.

Article 5:  We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by his own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.

Article 6:  We believe salvation, being the work of God and not of man, shall cause all true believers to be saved eternally.

Article 7: We believe that good works are the fruit of faith and follow the new birth.

Article 8: We believe the local church of Jesus Christ is a body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel.

Article 9:  We believe that the local church is an autonomous body operating through democratic processes under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Article 10: We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the church instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ to be practiced until He returns.

Article 11:  We believe that baptism is by immersion of the true believer in obedience to Christ.

Article 12:  We believe that God will bring the world to its appropriate end, resurrecting the dead, judging all men in righteousness, and consigning the unrighteous to hell and the righteous to heaven.

Article 13:  We believe in religious liberty; that is, a free church in a free state.

Article 14:  We believe that God created all races of one blood and is not a respecter of persons, but has provided salvation for all through Jesus Christ.

Article 15:  We believe that the Lord's Day should be a day of rest and worship, work of necessity and works of mercy only being excepted.

Article 16:  We believe that every Christian and church has a responsibility to carry out the commands of our Lord concerning the stewardship of the Gospel at home and abroad, participating with time, talents, and posessions.

Article 17: We believe that Christians should cooperate in the work of their denomination and, where possible, in all works of righteousness with other Christians.
